Relaxation MassageStressed? Just need to unwind? Relaxation massage incorporates soothing, slow movements and gentle pressure, which calms down the nervous system and lets your body ease up on tissue-damaging stress hormones. Extra attention may be paid to your particular stress area, for example the scalp, neck, stomach, or shoulders.

Classic Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is the foundation of contemporary western forms of massage and utilizes five types of strokes: effleurage (gliding), petrissage (lifting and kneading), friction, vibration, and tapotement (tapping). Its traditional aim is to relax the muscles and promote good circulation in an invigorating way.

Pregnancy/Perinatal Massage
Not merely a pampering experience for the (deserving) mother-to-be! Deep relaxation prepares the body and mind for labor.

pains, and been told "that's just how pregnancy is"? Come and see us. Pregnant women before 14 weeks may be positioned face-down; 14 weeks to term in side-lying position. [I don't recommend cut-out tables for anything but naps for the stomach-sleepers. --Sara]

Hot Stone MassageNot just a spa gimmick! Applied correctly, Hot Stone Massage is an excellent heat therapy tool that softens the tightest muscles. Black basalt stones are heated in a water bath, and held in the therapist's hands during the massage. Some have described Hot Stone Massage as feeling like strong hands and radiating warmth. The combination of heat and deep pressure melts away knots and trigger points and results in all-over relaxation.
